Maytag SOV628ZB Fridge Freezer – Review

I was shocked to learn the prices of these American style fridge freezers online. There are literally hundreds to choose from, where the cheapest are around $500. I had somebody tell me that the Maytag company was pretty much the go-to authority when it came to fridges. Not wanting to purchase a fridge that was going to break down quickly, I decided to save up and shell out for a high-tech fridge. I have bought the Maytag SOV628ZB Fridge Freezer and I am not sorry that I did.

This is one very large fridge freezer, mind you. You have to make sure you’ve got room in your kitchen for this one, because it’s not going to fit everywhere. Not only is this American fridge freezer fantastic at preserving food and keeping it very cold, it also has a very classy design. The door is in sort of a zig-zag shape. This makes it so that there is the most storage space at the top of the refrigerator. I like this, because now I don’t have to bend at the knees whenever I want to quickly grab a snack from the fridge.

The interior itself is spacey and well lit. There are 4 tempered glass shelves, all of which have spill guards. The door itself also has a few balconies to store all sorts of stuff. It has an egg tray and a dairy compartment. The two crisper drawers have humidity control. The pantry draw has a zero degree option. There is also an in-built frost freezer, in which you can freeze your food extra fast. There is nothing this American fridge freezer cannot do. It even dispenses cold water and ice cubes. And it’s got controls to let you set the desired temperature and a fancy LED display that will show you the actual interior temperature in real time! Now that’s a fridge!

Smeg FA550X2 Fridge Freezer – Review

Just from doing research online, I must say I am shocked at how much choices there are to be made when it comes to American style fridge freezers. I have seen literally hundreds of different kinds of fridges on the market. And I’m not even overreacting. The supply is truly overwhelming. I ended up choosing the Smeg FA550X2 Fridge Freezer. It was quite expensive and I was afraid I would suffer from buyer’s remorse afterwards. Luckily, I did not end up suffering from that. As a matter of fact, this refrigerator has so many features, it really made my life a lot easier.

Gone are the days of leaky freezers and lukewarm fridges. This machine can do everything and more and it does it while taking up less space and generally looking awesome. The design of this American style fridge freezer is Italian. It looks like a rich man’s fridge. Even the handles are made of solid metal and not some cheap piece of plastic that comes off after a few years of swinging the door open. The interior of the fridge is massive. I’ve never seen such vast amounts of space before. The entire interior is also very well lit. Even in the back, I can see everything clearly!

This fridge is very well built as well. It’s a very solid machine that will likely last me for at least two decades. There is also a cold water dispenser in it that will allow me to fix myself a quick, cool drink when I am in dire need of cooling down. As if a built-in cold water tap isn’t good enough, there is also the possibility of getting ice cubes on demand. If this will not keep me cool when the summer comes, I don’t know what will!

Beko AB910W Fridge Freezer – Review

We’ve been looking around a lot before we finally made our purchase. But when we did finally made a decision, it was the Beko AB910W Fridge Freezer that can all our house its new home. Beko isn’t a well known brand but the salesmen assured us that it was right on top there with Samsung, Bosch and Maytag fridges. He seemed like an honest person so we believed him when he told us this was a top of the line American fridge freezer. We were doubting a lot, but he made us an offer we couldn’t refuse. We got it for the price that it would’ve had if it had been on sale!

This refrigerator is a classic white one that fits really nice in our light interior. I was thinking about purchasing a stainless steel one, or maybe a Samsung fridge, because those always have that lovely Manhattan silver. But now we have this one and I don’t think I’d want to trade it in for a different color. The Beko AB910W fridge has a very sturdy build. I think it will last us a long time, provided the kids won’t start swinging on those huge doors. The interior has plenty of space and it is so well lit that I couldn’t believe my eyes.

This American fridge freezer has numerous glass shelves in it. These are removable and can be rearranged exactly as you want them. There are salad crispers with a glass cover and also an egg tray. Then there is a rack for storing bottles. We use this to keep our wines cool. The energy rating on this machine is A+. This means it uses less energy than most other fridges out there. So if you are looking to upgrade your fridge without racking up your electricity bill, then this is the fridge for you!

Neff K5920L0GB Fridge Freezer – Review

I’ve looked around for a long time before I could settle on one. These integrated fridge freezer combinations are pretty expensive. I read a couple of reviews and decided to settle on the Neff K5920L0GB Fridge Freezer. I did my research online, but I actually went to a nearby electronics appliances store in my nearby city to make the purchase. When I was there I looked around a little bit and I loved the stainless steel look on this one. The doors swing wide open and reveal a big, spacey interior to me. After seeing this baby in real life, I was completely sold. I purchased it on the spot and had it delivered to me the very next day.

Even though this is one of those big American style fridge freezers, it was still small enough to fit through a normal door. It’s almost as tall as me and I particularly enjoy all the space that I have in the top. I almost store all my food at the top shelves because I do not like having to bend at the knees to get what I want. This fridge also has a cold water dispenser and an ice dispenser. I intend to use these in the summer to keep myself cool.

This integrated fridge freezer combination has an auto defrost function. My old fridge needed to be defrosted on a regular basis and there was no chore that I hated more than that. It’s not longer necessary thanks to this refrigerator’s modern day technological features. Another high tech feature is the anti bacterial protection. Food stays fresh considerably longer than in regular fridges. You’ll be able to taste the difference when you try it yourself. I’m sure of that. You can also take out the shelves if you want to create some more room for whatever reason. It’s a really great fridge and I’m happy with my purchase.

Samsung RSG5DUMH Fridge Freezer – Review

After much deliberation, the wife and I decided to purchase this very classy American style fridge freezer. We managed to get this one for a bargain price and it looked very beautiful. The color is Manhattan silver, which gives it a really slick appearance and it fits in nearly every home interior. In every day use I have found that is has significantly more space than most other refrigerators I have seen. It also uses energy quite sparingly. I estimate I’ll save at least $100 per year since I got rid of my old fridge and freezer.

This American fridge freezer is also able to make ice. The kids make use of this feature a lot because they like to drink soda pop and stuff like that. I must confess I also like to have ice cubes in my orange juice in summer time when it’s hot and I need to cool down a bit. It’s also a very silent machine. You’ll have to pay close attention to hear sound coming from this baby. The interior is very spacey and there is a wine rack and a can rack for easy storage of wine and cans.

One thing that particularly stands out is the lighting. The lights are placed very well and they truly light up the entire fridge freezer’s contents. It was easy to assemble as well. Not only can this American fridge freezer make ice, but it also has a cold water tap. Like all other features on this machine, the tap is easy to operate. It is user friendly enough that you won’t even need to read the manual. All features are entirely self explanatory. Although I would still recommend reading the manual after taking the fridge in use. You wouldn’t want to miss out on any important stuff!
